LAHF Paid Membership Form

Welcome to the 2017-2018 Lansing Area Homeschool Family Membership. This year it is our goal to provide opportunities for all ages of homeschoolers to be able to participate in activities. We have various field trips, service projects, gym days, seasonal parties, and moms nights out. The event lists will all be available on the LAHF paid members only Facebook group page as well as on this website.

The below guidelines are to help keep all families on the same page as to how we will manage and execute activities.

With this new year and new faces there are some requirements that we will be implementing in order to try to keep an organized and happy group of families. These requirements will help provide a fluent process and ensure the events take off without a hitch.

Membership this year will be $10.00 per family. Cost of membership will help to cover the cost of venue rentals, supplies for group activities, and hard copy documentation. Before any field trips can be signed up for, each family will need to pay the $10 membership fee.

Once you have paid your membership, you may then sign up for the events listed on this website as well as any others that we may post in the future in the LAHF Facebook group. When signing up for events, please be sure to double check for a fee. When there is a fee for an event, take note that your position will not be locked into place until you have submitted your funds and have been sent notification of receipt of funds. Once you have signed up for and paid, there will be NO REFUND, unless the event is cancelled by a group admin. If, in the case the event is cancelled by a group admin, there will be a full reimbursement in the form of a check mailed to your supplied address. Unless otherwise noted on the Facebook event page, field trip fees are to be paid no later than two weeks prior to the event. Payments can be PayPal, credit card, cash, or check.

In order to provide accurate numbers of attendees to the locations of our events, we will be taking a group headcount via the Facebook event page for each event. So please be sure to comment on the event page with the number of adults and children you will be bringing. It is not enough to simply RSVP as going, we will need to know the headcount for your family.

If you wish to be reminded about events the week and/or night before they occur, please contact a group leader and let them know that you want to opt in for event reminders.

If you find that you are unable to attend an event you have signed up for, please notify the organizer or another group leader as soon as possible so that the families on the waiting lists may be notified and able to attend. When arriving to events, please show up no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. This is to be sure that our full party is in attendance and provides a great representation of our group in order to be welcomed back in the future. (It does not look good when we say we are going to have 50 people show and get half or less actually show.) Let us be a good representation to our children of following through and being on time to our appointments. Plus, being on time allows for our guides to keep to their schedule of business.
